Hello!
My Name is Elizabeth Sousa. I graduated from Framingham State University in May of 2010 with a B.A. in studio Art. My primary medium is acrylic paint, as I enjoy it's versatility. The majority of my work deals with the human relationship to nature and our non human counterparts. I am interested in the way plants and animals are used as decorative elements, and have recently been exploring juxtapositions of naturalisticly rendered animal figures and floral or other patterns. I am interested in the human tendency to appreciate nature for it's own and also our desire to use it as decorative form, simplifying and stylizing it's imagery.
